The Sandwich plate is a kind of the carbon fiber plate, the surface for the sandwich is same as the full carbon fiber plates, for the samdwich, there will be PMI, aramid,PVC,PP and so on for choice.
The advantages for the sandwich as below:
1. The biggest advantage for the sandwich plate is: lightweight. It will be much lighter than the full carbon fiber plate for same thickness.
2. For the thick sandwich plate, the cost will be much lower than the full carbon fiber plate for same thickness.
The disadvantages for the sandwich as below:
1. The strength isn’t so good as the full carbon fiber plate.
2. The sandwich plate isn’t popular as full carbon fiber plate, so, the cost performance and the technology for it isn’t so good as the full carbon fiber plate.
3. The tolerance is much bigger than the full carbon fiber plate.
Normally, the thinnest thickness is 3mm for the sandwich plate, but it won’t be recommended for the thickness less than 5mm.
